St. Petersburg Bilimler Akademi\u2019sinde 1725 y\u0131l\u0131nda matematik alan\u0131nda g\u00f6rev yapmaya ba\u015flayan Bernoulli, Leonhard Euler ile ayn\u0131 d\u00f6nemde bilimsel \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar y\u00fcr\u00fctt\u00fc. Mekanik ve ak\u0131\u015fkanlar\u0131n hareketi \u00fczerine \u00f6nemli katk\u0131lar sa\u011flayan Bernoulli, en tan\u0131nm\u0131\u015f eseri<em> Hydrodynamica<\/em>\u2019y\u0131 1738 y\u0131l\u0131nda yay\u0131mlad\u0131.
