class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SkyFall ground-penetrating radar engineer Maya Rom\u00e1n connects a coaxial cable to a test antenna in the\u00a0Environmental Test Lab\u2019s electromagnetic interference testing chamber\u00a0at NASA\u2019s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The antenna was pointed up during test to minimize reflections and interferences with the antenna pattern during the measurement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Equipped with four instruments each, the three SkyFall aircraft will follow in the footsteps of the agency\u2019s Ingenuity Mars Helicopter, which\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpl.nasa.gov\/news\/after-three-years-on-mars-nasas-ingenuity-helicopter-mission-ends\/\" rel=\"noopener\">flew 72 times over nearly three years<\/a>, proving that powered, controlled flight is possible in the rarefied Martian atmosphere. It also demonstrated how an aerial perspective can generate valuable data by helping NASA\u2019s Perseverance Mars rover team plan time-saving routes and choose locations for science-gathering.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SkyFall is expected to launch aboard NASA\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/mission\/space-reactor-1-freedom\/\"
